Why We Prioritize Vehicle Sanitation and Customer Safety
At Dream Limousines, the safety and health of our drivers and guests is our top priority. We’re closely monitoring the information released by the CDC, the World Health Organization, government agencies, and industry leaders, which will allow us to take appropriate, comprehensive action. We know that travel safety is a concern for many of our Michigan customers, and we’d like to ease your mind a little by sharing some information on our safety and sanitation procedures.
Disinfecting Vehicles Before and After Each Trip
The Dream Limousines crew is taking steps to sanitize our fleet before and after each ride, so you can be assured that you’re getting into a germ-free, clean vehicle every time. Before a trip, we’ll use hospital-grade antibacterial disinfectants to clean high-touch surfaces such as radio controls, steering wheels, armrests, door handles, and phone chargers. It’s our honor and our privilege to ensure that your ride is safe, clean, and comfortable.
Protecting Our Drivers So They Can Protect You
Before every shift, each driver will undergo a temperature check to ensure that they’re not showing symptoms of illness. If a driver has a high temperature, their rides are reassigned, and they’re encouraged to seek medical attention. Additionally, all drivers will wear protective face masks as well as gloves when handling passengers’ personal property and luggage. By protecting our drivers from the spread of illness, we, by extension, protect our clients.
Risk Mitigation Measures
As transportation is considered an essential service, Dream Limousines has a contingency plan in place to ensure operational continuity. We’ve added a few more services during the pandemic, and the safety and health of our passengers, partners, and employees is our top concern. As the CDC’s guidelines evolve, we’ll continue to assess and adjust our procedures. We respectfully ask our customers and guests to do their part to protect everyone by wearing a protective face mask and following the CDC’s recommendations to stop the spread of illness.
We’ve implemented the following risk mitigation procedures, and because the situation is constantly changing, we invite you to check back regularly for updates.
- Health screenings. All Dream Limousines drivers and employees are subject to temperature screenings with no-touch forehead thermometers at the beginning and end of each workday.
- Sick leave. Employees with symptoms of viral infection will not be allowed to work until they’ve been medically cleared to do so.
- Frequent temperature checks. Drivers are encouraged to check their own temperatures regularly and report any changes back to us.
Preparation and Precautions for Dream Limousines Employees
- All employees must wear gloves and face masks, whether they’re in the field or in our offices.
- Our Michigan office staff will always wear PPE, while working at least six feet apart.
- Drivers will provide guests with hand sanitizer and disposable face masks upon request.
- Employees are frequently reminded to wash their hands and follow other risk mitigation protocols.
It’s our hope that our passengers and guests will work with us to ensure everyone’s health and safety. Passengers should maintain physical and social distance from others, and we ask them to take other measures to stop the spread of disease.
Vehicle Cleaning and Sanitation
At the beginning and end of each trip, every one of our luxury vehicles is thoroughly disinfected and cleaned with CDC-compliant alcohol-based cleansers. We pay special attention to seating areas, door handles, and other high-touch areas. Our cleaning crews also use electrostatic sprayers and professional-grade disinfectants to sanitize interior surfaces, and vehicles’ air filtration systems include HEPA units to minimize the spread of viruses and other germs.
Social and Physical Distancing
At Dream Limousines, we believe that social distancing will bring us all closer together as we fight this disease. That’s why we provide plastic partitions in all vehicles upon request, and we respectfully ask passengers not to sit in the front seats of our vehicles. Furthermore, we’re making all pickups curbside, as our drivers are not allowed to enter residences, offices, airports, and other buildings.
The maximum seating capacity for all vehicles is subject to change and may be raised or lowered depending on the CDC’s and the government’s social distancing requirements. These mandates will be followed in and out of all party buses, limousines, and luxury vehicles. Sharing and physical contact between drivers and passengers is prohibited, and we’re offering contact-free payment options.
Clean, Luxurious Private Transportation
Because our fleet is company-owned, we’re in a unique position to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of each vehicle. Our rigorous cleaning and disinfection methods exceed the CDC’s requirements, and we evaluate our own standards regularly. Our drivers are well-versed in health etiquette, and our plastic partitions allow our customers to conduct their business in a private, comfortable, germ-free environment.
Whether you’re planning a bachelor party or a business trip, we’re here to provide luxurious transportation. It’s our mission to get our clients to their destinations safely, cleanly, and at minimal risk to their health. Unlike a rideshare, your comfort and sanitary surroundings are guaranteed with Dream Limousines luxury vehicle and party bus rentals.
A Word From the Centers for Disease Control
As of now, there’s no vaccine for coronavirus. Therefore, the best way to reduce the risk of illness is to avoid exposure to the virus. According to the Centers for Disease Control, Michigan clients and employees should take the following actions to prevent the spread of various respiratory diseases.
- Wash hands frequently. If water and soap aren’t available, use a hand sanitizer containing 60% alcohol.
- Avoid contact with others. The CDC has imposed a six-foot social distancing mandate.
- Cover the nose and mouth. We always ask our employees and guests to wear face masks.
Along with our cleaning and sanitation programs, we ask our clients and drivers to monitor their health daily. If you believe you’ve been exposed to the virus, contact your doctor right away.
As we continue to navigate the unprecedented challenges arising from the pandemic, it’s tough to predict what the future may hold. While our idea of “normal” may have changed, our commitment to customers’ and associates’ health and well-being remains the same.
